CALL FOR BOOK REVIEWS - AFRICA JOURNAL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY 2024

The Africa Journal of Nursing and Midwifery is a scholarly journal published by Unisa Press. The journal uses a double-blind peer review system, is indexed on Scopus and accredited by the department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). Currently, AJNM is using a hybrid publication model which allows authors to choose if they want to publish Open Access (article publication charge applies) or via the standard publication route where there is no cost to the author.

In keeping with its long-standing tradition of being a reputable academic journal, AJNM will publish reviews of books on a wide range of nursing topics and core issues that underpin all of nursing and midwifery practice.  

AJNM is inviting scholars/intellectuals/researchers/specialists to contribute single-authored book reviews in various disciplines of Nursing and Midwifery. In order to be considered as a book reviewer, the contributor must be a specialist in the following Nursing and Midwifery disciplines:

  • Occupational Health Nursing
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Nursing Management
  • Nursing Leadership
  • Quality Assurance in Nursing or Midwifery

  • Nursing Education
  • Nursing Research
  • Surgical Nursing

AUTHOR SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Book reviews could be short (500 words) or long (not exceed 1500 words if the book is considered a particularly significant contribution to the field of Nursing and Midwifery or if more than one book is being reviewed).
