The discovery of a literary fragment of the royal epic of the Sealand king, Gulkišar, provides support for the recently published McLoud chronological model for the ancient Middle East, in which the Mesopotamian high chronology for the third and early second millennia B.C. is correlated with K. A. Kitchen’s “low” chronology for the Egyptian Twelfth Dynasty.
