We aim to provide a platform for established and emerging scholars in the fields of performance practice, ethnomusicology, and ‘traditional’ musicology as well as jazz and popular music studies encompassing diverse aspects of local, diasporic, and global research.</p> <p><em>Muziki</em> succeeded the long-established <em>Ars Nova</em> journal of the Musicology Department at the University of South Africa in 2004.
