CALL FOR PAPERS: “CHURCH HISTORY IN SOUTHERN AFRICA – THE PAST 50 YEARS”

 Studia Historiae Ecclesiasticae (SHE) will be celebrating its 50th year of publication in 2024!

The Editors are therefore delighted to announce a special edition of SHE to be published in July 2024.

 

You are invited to submit a paper on the topic of this special celebratory edition, which is “Church History in Southern Africa – the past 50 years”.  Any paper within the following broad subthemes will be considered for publication after successful peer-reviewing:

  • Any aspect of the 50 years’ publication history of Studia Historiae Ecclesiasticae.
  • Any aspect of the history of the Church History Society of Southern Africa, that came into being in 1970.
  • Any topic on Church History in Southern Africa, the past 50 years.
  • Any aspect of global (African, European, etc) Church History that reflects on the ecclesiastical scene in Southern Africa.

 

Studia Historiae Ecclesiasticae is the DHET accredited journal of the Church History Society of Southern Africa and is indexed by both SciELO and Scopus and the DOAJ.  

 

Contributors are encouraged to send an Abstract of their proposed paper by 17 November 2023 to the Guest Editor of this edition, Prof Christina Landman at christina.landman2@gmail.com and forward it to tanyapiet247@gmail.com.  Please, do not load the abstract on the SHE platform.

 

The decision on the acceptance of abstracts accepted will be communicated by 15 December 2023, and completed papers must be submitted to the SHE online platform by 31 January 2024.
