Implementation of Article Processing Charges (APCs) by IJEDA Starting in 2025
The International Journal of Educational Development in Africa (IJEDA) will implement article processing charges (APCs) for all articles accepted for publication beginning in 2025. APCs are payable upon the article's acceptance for publication and issuance of an invoice by Unisa Press. These charges cover costs related to language editing, publishing, online hosting, and archiving.
The rate for 2025 is ZAR 9,100 per article, subject to annual review. The submitting author is responsible for the payment of the APC, which must be confirmed at the time of submission. All amounts are due within 30 days from invoicing, and the article will be published only after full payment has been received.
IJEDA encourages researchers from marginalized groups and communities to submit articles. Authors may apply for exemption from the APCs, providing a motivation for their application. Each application will be considered on its merit, without discrimination. Applications should be sent to the Chief Editor at the time of article submission.
