Abstract

Unfortunately, words do hurt. So too do other forms of expression that are used to convey messages in both the private and public spheres of society. Few forms of expression, since the cartoon controversies depicting the Prophet Mohammed with a bomb-shaped turban, have captured the media’s attention to soaring heights and caused national frenzy in what has come to be known as the ‘Kill the Boer’ song.
