Author Biography

Joshua Lok, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Joshua Lok received his Master of Arts in English Literature from the Division of English, School of Humanities, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he also completed his Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours). His Master of Arts dissertation focuses on Muriel Spark and postmodernism. He has an abiding interest in German philosophical aesthetics, especially as expressed in the works of Schiller, Schelling and Nietzsche. More recently, he has developed an appreciation for reinterpreting postcolonial texts from aesthetic and perhaps dissident perspectives.
