Richard Alan Northover, University of South Africa

Richard Alan Northover currently lectures general literary theory and critical theory in the Department of Afrikaans and Theory of Literature at the University of South Africa. His PhD, obtained at the University of Pretoria in 2010, concerns the work of J.M. Coetzee in relation to animal ethics. His most recent accredited publications are titled “Elizabeth Costello as a Socratic figure” (2012), “Schopenhauer and secular salvation in the work of J.M. Coetzee” (2014), “The archaeology of rock art and western philosophy” (2014), and “Ecological apocalypse in Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam trilogy” (2016).

Reinhardt Fourie, University of South Africa

Reinhardt Fourie is a lecturer in the Department of English Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA). His current research focuses on comparative readings of English and Afrikaans literature.
