Author Biography

Leon de Kock, University of Stellenbosch

Leon de Kock is Professor Emeritus in English Studies at Stellenbosch University. He is the author of Losing the Plot: Crime, Reality, and Fiction in Postapartheid Writing (Wits University Press, 2016), over 60 articles in peer-review publications, three volumes of poetry, a novel, and several works of translation from Afrikaans into English (among them Marlene van Niekerk’s Triomf). De Kock has received numerous awards for his criticism, poetry, and literary translation.
