Metafore en rame
Abstract
In this article it is shown by an analysis of "Kaapse skeepswerf" (Cape shipyard) by D.J. Opperman that current theory about metaphor cannot fully account for the contexts of utterances. A top-down approach using the concept frame from artificial intelligence is proposed instead of the current bottom-up approach. The A-frame analysis of Kilpatrick is discussed and evaluated by means of an analysis of the poem "Sweet" (Hovering) by T.T. Cloete.
Opsomming
Cloete.
