Marianne de Jong, University of South Africa

Marianne de Jong lectures in the Department of Theory of Literature at the University of South Africa. She is currently undertaking research for her doctoral thesis in Theory of Literature at J.W. Goethe University in Frank­furt. She has published on a variety of topics in theory of literature. Her book 'n Ander Afrikaanse letterkunde which explores Marxist directions in Afri­kaans literature has recently appeared.
