About Fees: Payment and non-payment
2020-08-27In order to finance open access, EAC requires authors of accepted articles to pay article processing charges (APCs). APCs are payable when the article has been accepted for publication and when an invoice has been delivered. APCs are used to cover all costs related to language editing, publishing, online hosting, and the archiving of each article.
The updated rate for 2025 is ZAR 9100 per article. These charges are reviewed annually.

Article Processing Charges
2018-03-07In order to finance open access, the Journal requires authors or their sponsoring agents to pay Article Processing Charges (APC) for all research articles submitted after 1 March 2018. You will find the policy under 'Fees' in 'About the Journal'. These charges only apply to articles accepted for publication. Read more about Article Processing Charges
